Google Officially Launches Google Music

Google officially launched Google Music to the public, Wednesday, November 16, 2011. In the Android event in Los Angeles, Google officially pulled the word "beta" of their product, Google Music.

Google Music was challenged to see the success of Apple's iTunes dominated the music business since 2001.

Later, it emulated the success of the iTunes music store division of Amazon.com.

On the

site, Google also provides a facility for storing music. This service is already in iTunes via iTunes and on Amazon Match with Amazon Cloud Player. Google has teamed up with some music labels for several years.

Google Music store is now available to Android users. This service can be downloaded to users of Android 2.2 and above. "We also prepared a version of the browser," Google's press release said.

Director of Digital Content for Google Android, Jamie Rosenberg, said Google's Music Beta service allows people to upload up to 20 thousand songs, including from iTunes. "It's only for music obtained legally. We will maintain that no rights are being violated," he said.

To plan, Google has held talks with four major music companies, namely EMI, Universal Music Group, Sony Music, and Warner Music. Google asks for a license for online music store catalog. But of the four new EMI which is almost close to a deal. While others, though not yet reached an agreement, Google still continues to conduct intensive talks.
